Foxfield Inn - A New Year, A New Website

January 2010 - a new month, a new year - means a new presence for us. We've worked hard with Acorn Internet Services to bring you a new website - complete with our new logo. Please look at www.foxfield-inn.com for the results of our collaboration. Photographs of the interior were provided by Peter Scherman of The B&B Team while the exterior and food photos were done by Dan Bundy. We want to thank everyone who has been involved in the project - especially Willie, Helena, Tracy, Annie, Marian, Matt and Mark (and all the others whose names we do not know).

We are excited to launch this new website and we hope you enjoy it. Please let us know your thoughts by emailing us at stay@foxfield-inn.com. Coming soon we will be on Facebook (in the works).

Have a great 2010.

January Restaurant Week

Charlottesville is once again celebrating the wonderful chefs at many of the fine restaurants in town January 25th - January 31. The per person price of $26 includes $1 which will be donated to the Charlottesville branch of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. More restaurants have signed up for this week long event than previously due to the success they had last year. Residents support the restaurants but so can visitors. You just need to make reservations early. The list of restaurants participating this year is:

The Boat House
Brassiere Montiel
C&O
Camino
Carmello’s
Cassis
Fossett’s at Keswick Hall

Come join us at Foxfield Inn for a relaxing time and then enjoy some good food at one of the restaurants (and donation to the food bank).

New Year's Day 2010

What a lazy day - relaxing late in bed, rising to a wonderful breakfast, leisurely check-out or off to Monticello. Our guests had a memorable New Year's Eve - sipping Bailey's Irish Cream while enjoying the outdoor hot tub, ringing in the new year while listening to favorite music in the Jacuzzi, dancing the night away at several restaurants and enjoying a late night supper with friends. The conversation around the breakfast table this morning just flowed with the stories they were telling each other and us. Our favorite - meeting a new friend while enjoying each other company on the dance floor, visiting them during the day today to see the new friend's dog.

It was a beautiful morning with the fog. Luckily it has burned off and the guests who are hiking Old Rag in the Blue Ridge Mountains have a good day for it.

It's time to enjoy January and escape from the cabin fever that occurs this time of year. Why not come stay with us, visit some wineries and see the only World Heritage House in the USA - Monticello.
