There's No Place Like Charlottesville for the Holidays (Part 2)
Here at the Foxfield Inn, we've been decking the halls and whipping up breakfasts full of holiday flavors like oranges and cranberries, and peppermint and chocolate. Christmas
at the Paramount with the Oratorio
Society of Virginia Dec. 15 at 3pm or 8pm. Enjoy well-executed choral
master works in the beautiful Paramount theater on the Downtown Mall. Tickets
range from $17-57 and are available in advance.

Mannheim
Steamroller at the John Paul Jones Arena Dec. 16 at 7pm. Known for their
unique sound and accompanying multimedia show, Mannheim Steamroller promises to
delight. Tickets available in advance and range from $32.50-$67.50.
It’s a
Wonderful Life viewing at the Paramount
Dec. 22 at 7pm. Sure, these days we can download movies instantly to our
phones, but there’s something magical about viewing this holiday classic on the
big screen. Head to the Downtown Mall and listen for bells to ring.
Rock
& Roll Christmas with Sons of Bill at the Jefferson Theater Dec. 22 at
8pm. If you like your Christmas music with a touch of rock and twang, local
band, Sons of Bill, just may be
your cup of tea. Tickets $15-17.
For those looking to
wrestle a reindeer…
Ice skating
at the Main Street Arena would be a fun outing for the active couple, and
the perfect way to work up an appetite for a tasty meal on the Downtown Mall.
Rent skates or enjoy the bar at the newly renovated indoor rink.
Don your holiday costumes and tie bells to your shoelaces
for the Jingle
Bell Run/Walk 5k on Dec. 15 at 8am. Always a fun time, the proceeds from this national event benefit the
Arthritis Foundation. Takes place at the beautiful King Family Vineyards in
Crozet. $30 registration fee.
