At the Theater, Charlottesville - Foxfield Inn

If you are in the mood for a really great show this weekend how about visiting one of the theaters here in Charlottesville? 

Back by popular demand at Live Arts, 123 East Water Street, is Dirty Barbie and Other Girlhood Tales.  Denise Stewart brings us this fantastically funny one-woman show about her strange southern upbringing.  "Denise puts the “fun” back in “dysfunctional” as she spins tales of scarlet fever, scotch over ice, and girls gone wild."


 While at the PlayOn! Theater at Ix, 983 Second Street, is Samuel Beckett's classic Waiting for Godot.   It is a comical representation of mankind's search for meaning.  It is a magical and beautiful allegory of our time.

Starry Nights this summer at Veritas, near Charlottesville & Foxfield Inn

Looking for a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night this summer?  Veritas Vineyard hosts great entertainment a month from June through September.  Bring your lawn chairs and picnic and enjoy the music under the stars!   Veritas is only a short drive from Foxfield Inn and is on our "favorite vineyard" list.  Whatever wine you purchase to enjoy through the evening we are sure you will like it.  Our favorites are the Claret and the Saddleback Chardonnay. 

• June 9th - it's salsa night with Bio Ritmo
• July 14th - Abbey Road is back for a return engagement, Beatles Cover Band (always a crowd pleaser! - book early)
• August 11th - the ultimate party band will be on stage - The Dickens
• September 8th - there's raucous bluegrass with The Hackensack Boys
