Downtown Charlottesville. Saturdays 8am-1pm. Browse dozens of vendors selling
unique crafts, homemade foodstuffs, beautiful pottery, jewelry, and more, for
the perfect stocking stuffer or hostess gift.
MichieTavern holiday open house Saturdays and Sundays in December 9:30am-4:30pm.
The perfect stop after your Monticello tour to enjoy a period meal, admire holiday greenery, and pick up some classic
Virginia souvenirs and gifts like mulled cider and scones.
Free Union Artisans Open House at the Free Union
Country School Dec. 1-2 10am-4pm. Browse the work of 8 local artists for
handmade pottery, wood bowls, stained glass, quilts, scarves, and more.
Mistletoe Market at the Boar’s Head Inn Dec. 9
10am-6pm. A unique stop for clothing, jewelry, toys, gourmet foods, home
furnishings, and other gifts. Tickets are $5.

Monticello
Holiday Evening Tours offer an intimate look at Thomas Jefferson’s home
after dark, with discussion of how the holidays were celebrate during his time.
Reserved tickets ($45) required. Dec. 15, 20-23, or 26-30.
Ash-Lawn Highland Ornament Workshop Dec. 4 from 2-4pm. An interactive workshop on the grounds of James Monroe’s home will show participants how to craft Victorian inspired tree decorations. Includes a house tour, and reservations are required. ($12)
Montpelier
Candlelight Tours Dec. 7-9 from 4:30-8pm promise an exciting step back in
time to explore 19th-century Christmas customs in the newly restored
home of James and Dolley Madison. Enjoy music, carolers, dancers, and
refreshments. Admission $25-35.
