Here at the Foxfield Inn, we've been decking the halls and whipping up breakfasts full of holiday flavors like oranges and cranberries, and peppermint and chocolate. No matter how you like to gear up for the holidays, Charlottesville has lots to offer. (Click here to view Part 1 for shopping and historical holiday tour ideas).

If your radio dial is tuned to “all Christmas music, all the time…”

It’s a Wonderful Life viewing at the Paramount Dec. 22 at 7pm. Sure, these days we can download movies instantly to our phones, but there’s something magical about viewing this holiday classic on the big screen. Head to the Downtown Mall and listen for bells to ring.

Rock & Roll Christmas with Sons of Bill at the Jefferson Theater Dec. 22 at 8pm. If you like your Christmas music with a touch of rock and twang, local band, Sons of Bill, just may be your cup of tea.  Tickets $15-17.

For those looking to wrestle a reindeer…
Ice skating at the Main Street Arena would be a fun outing for the active couple, and the perfect way to work up an appetite for a tasty meal on the Downtown Mall. Rent skates or enjoy the bar at the newly renovated indoor rink.

Don your holiday costumes and tie bells to your shoelaces for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk 5k on Dec. 15 at 8am. Always a fun time, the proceeds from this national event benefit the Arthritis Foundation. Takes place at the beautiful King Family Vineyards in Crozet. $30 registration fee.
